Robbery
Robbery under Florida Statute § 812.13 means taking money or property from a person using force, violence, or intimidation with intent to permanently or temporarily deprive. Robbery with a weapon is a first-degree felony (up to life), with a firearm carries a 10-20-Life mandatory minimum, strong-arm robbery is second-degree (up to 30 years), and robbery by sudden snatching is third-degree (up to 5 years). Defenses include mistaken identity, absence of force or intimidation, no intent to permanently deprive, and pretrial intervention eligibility for young first offenders.
